Outstanding Leadership in Queens
2018 Honoree of the Queens Federation of Churches

Diana Castillo

Diana Castillo was born in Brooklyn, New York, and is currently the Practice Administrator at Community Healthcare Network, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Jamaica Queens. For 42 years, Diana Castillo has worked in underprivileged communities providing quality health care to immigrant families. She is passionate about non profit health care and community development.

Diana has been in the medical field since she entered a nursing program as a young teenager and received a degree in Human Services from New York City Technical College. Since then Diana has been supporting families in her professional career, working specifically in women’s health. She has worked on the front lines at clinics, assisted center managers and eventually served as Center Director. Each of these roles has given Diana different levels of perspective which continue to influence her in her leadership role.

Having experienced the struggles of growing up in a low income family, Diana has made it her life’s mission to give back, to empower, support and educate families facing the same hardships.
To that end, Diana’s life work is fueled by her commitment to collaborate with community leaders, partners and health care professionals to ensure every child, young adult and family has access to affordable health care and every child within her reach grows up strong, healthy and is positioned for success.
