Cathy Hung

Cathy Hung is Executive Director of the Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL), a role she assumed in March 2014. Since her arrival, Ms. Hung quickly overhauled JCAL’s artistic direction and streamlined its organizational structure. Ms. Hung has a track record of turning around financially challenged institutions and has successfully re-imaged organizational identity by creating innovative and high-profile programs. In her career, Ms. Hung has developed many innovative partnerships and cross media programs with cultural institutions across the five boroughs. She is the author of Performing Arts Administration, a college textbook widely used in Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong. A classically trained pianist, Ms. Hung worked for the Taipei Century Symphony Orchestra in her college years. Ms. Hung is a graduate of New York University and holds a MA in Performing Arts Administration.
