Outstanding Leadership in Queens
2005 Honoree of the Queens Federation of Churches

Freddie Dill, Jr.

Freddie Dill, Jr., is the owner and chief executive officer of Pooor Freddie’s Auto & Tire Center in Jamaica. As successor to Freddie Dill, Sr. – the original “Pooor Freddie” – and with a comprehensive knowledge of the business, he has enabled Pooor Freddie’s Auto Center to remain a leader in the industry.

Reared in Jamaica, New York, the only boy among six sisters, Freddie Sr. prepared his son to follow in his footsteps. With a staff of 15 employees, he manages the day-to-day operations of the business. As a successful businessman, he knows the value of building strong, healthy relationships in the community. He always has time for you, no matter how busy.

He currently resides in Long Island with his wife, Michelle, and their children – son Freddie Jr. III, age 4, and daughter Trinity, age 1.

Freddie is an active member of the Freemasons, 100 Black Men of Queens, and the NAACP. Through these and other organizations he regularly gives of himself quietly in building a better community. People are important to him.
One never enters his place of business without receiving a word of encouragement and a strong measure of hope. A sign in the waiting room reads: “What you are is God’s gift to you. What you make of yourself is your gift to God.” Freddie is a great gift to God ... and God has shared him generously for all in the community.
